Troops disrupts IPOB rally for Donald Trump in Port Harcourt

Members of  the Indigenous People Of Biafran (IPOB) staged a rally in Port Harcourt to pledged their unalloyed support for incoming US president Donald Trump during his inauguration yesterday, shutting down all commercial activities and causing a traffic jam that affected many road users of the state capital.


The grouped march through major roads and street of PH, the event did turned bloody when they were repelled by the Nigerian troops around the Garrison, St. Johns and Artillery area of Port Harcourt.
The Troops started flogging and manhandling protesters who flaunted their orders, by passing through barricaded roads near a military facilities. 

Over 70-80 supporters of the IPOB and MASSOB movement have been detained, and about 15-20 sustained serious injuries. 

The Rivers State Police Command Spokesman Nnamdi Omoni has dismissed the claims that they made any arrests, saying the case of arrest are still sketchy. Adding that they ensured that the rally was a peaceful one even though they did not consent it.

Meanwhile, one of the protesters. Mr. Oyeama Njoku has revealed how troops broke one of his leg using a gun. adding that he will take legal actions against the maltreatment he recieved by the military.

Majority of the IPOB protesters who participated in the rally are from the south eastern states in Nigeria.
