A Russian Airstrike has mistakenly killed three Turkish soldiers and injured eleven others near the Syrian city of al-bab, the Turkish arm forces has confirmed. According to top Russian news outlets Tass, Russian President Vladimir Putin has called Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on phone to covey his condolences over the tragic accident.


The Russian Ministry of Defense has revealed in a statements, that the jet fighters were on a alleged combat mission to halt the ISIS movements in the area. The statement said Gen. Valery Gerasimov, chief of the General Staff of the Russian armed forces, expressed his condolences to Turkish Gen. Hulusi Akar for the men "killed as a result of unintended attack by a Russian plane."
"The heads of the General Staff agreed to a closer coordination of the joint actions and to exchange information about the situation on the ground," the statement said.



The two Nations have been enduring a somewhat controversial relationship, and have been facing serious military conflicts in recent times, and  this accident will not be helping matters.
