Chelsea Confirm Signing Of Alvaro Morata From Real Madrid For A Club Record Fee Of £70m

Chelsea football club have announce the signing of Spanish striker, Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid in a £70million deal. The 24-year-old forward put pen to paper on a 5-year contract after having a successful medical at the club's training facility.


Morata is expected to fly out to Asia to join up with his new teammates after he became the club most expensive signing, a record which was held by another Spaniard Fernando Torres who swapped anfield for Stamford bridge in 2011 for a fee in the region of £50m.
