22-year-old British Woman Commits Suicide After Breaking Up With Boyfriend

A 22-year-old British woman has committed suicide after reportedly breaking up with her boyfriend. The deceased, Lucy de Oliveira a nursing student who attended Liverpool John Moores University was described as a bright and caring young woman.

She strangled herself at her student home in Kesignton, east Liverpool on February 27, mail online reported. The deceased was reportedly suffering from anxiety and depression.

According to a coroner's investigating officer she sent a tragic message to her ex before she died.

It read: 'I just want it to end, I want it to end.' 

The coroner added overdosed on painkillers before her death.

Area Coroner Anita Bhardwaj concluded that there was no doubt that Lucy took her own life. 

She said: 'Lucy was a bright, intelligent 22-year-old with a medical history of depression and anxiety. It is so tragic - she had a bright future ahead of her.'

Lucy's mom, Liz de Oliveira described her daughter as a selfless young woman who always put everybody else before herself. 'It's a tragedy not just for us, but for society as she had so much to give. Everybody thinks their child is special, but she really was.'  She told the inquest.
