Police Arrests Man For Allegedly Shooting & Killing 8 People Including Police Officer In Mississippi
A man, was arrested Sunday for allegedly shooting and killing 8 people in Mississippi including a deputy sheriff named William Durr, who have been working for the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department for 2 years, and the Brookhaven Police Department for 4 years prior to his tragic end.
Lincoln Country Sheriff Steve Rushing said that the 35-year-old suspect, Willie Cory Godbolt was caught and arrested Sunday morning after Godbolt supposedly killed 8 people Saturday night in 3 distinct homes.
At the point when cops were bringing him down Sunday morning, he was discovered on video admitting to the killings.
The attacker revealed that he went on the killing spree because he loves his wife, kids and the Mississippi town of Borgue Chitto.
According to report published by media publication, TMZ. A sheriff's deputy was called to one of the homes Godbolt was in Saturday, and was allegedly shot and killed by the suspect.
Before being taken to a hospital, Godbolt said of the deputy ... "My pain wasn't designed for him. He was just there. We was talking about me trying to take the children home ... somebody called the officer ... that's what they do, they intervene. It cost him his life. I'm sorry."
He went on to say he was hoping for a suicide by cop, adding he was not "fit to live" after what he'd done.
