EFCC arraigns alleged female web fraudster(YAHOO GIRL) for 132,000 Euro Fraud
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, today summoned one Suzan Vega Ochuko before Justice P.I. Ajoku of the Federal High Court sitting in Benin, Edo State on a three tally charge verging on intrigue and getting cash by falsification.
Ochuko and one Tony Uyimwen otherwise known as Alex Ethan (now at large) purportedly working with a pseudo name Alex Ethan reached one Mrs. Beatrice AUF DER MAUR from St. Gallen, Switzerland by means of Facebook and cheated her of One Hundred and Thirty-Two Thousand Euro.
Mrs Auf Der Maur was purportedly duped into a love relationship with the defendant who in this way cheated her of the said sum under the misrepresentation of executing a non existing contract.The accused argued not guilty to the charge.
In perspective of her supplication, the arraignment counsel M.T. Iko requested that the court settle a date for beginning of trial. The defence counsel, Ekhator Ogiegbaen told the court that he had documented a safeguard application for his customer. He begged the court to concede his client bail as she won't jump bail and that the respondent was a nursing mother.

Despite the fact that the indictment advise contradicted the bail, Justice Ajoku allowed the respondent bail in the total of One Million Naira with two sureties in like aggregate.
The sureties must be government worker not beneath grade level 12 or two sureties with landed property inside the ward of the court.
The sureties must store unique title of their record with the court while the government employee must create an official letter from his unrivaled from his office. The records are to be confirmed by the arraignment.

The matter was suspended to the fourteenth of June, 2017 for trial while the respondent is to be remanded in jail authority pending the perfection of her bail terms.
