Man Rapes 18-Year-old Deaf And Dumb Virgin In Ogun

Men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested one Nurudeen Akintoye, 20 for allegedly raping an 18-year-old deaf and dumb lady.

The Command's representative, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi affirmed that "the episode occurred on the seventh of June at around 9.45 pm when the suspect who lives in Ajura, a community in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State, baited the casualty into a shrub and forcefully had sex with her".

Oyeyemi expressed that "the casualty, who the guardians asserted was a virgin before the episode was bleeding continuously from her private part, which infuriated the general population of the community and they endeavored to apply jungle justice on the suspect".

But for the timely, intervention of the DPO, Owode Egba Division; the circumstance would most likely have worsened. "CSP Shehu Alao immediately drove his men to the scene to spare the circumstance as the suspect was immediately arrested to the station", Oyeyemi expressed.

The casualty was taken to the General Hospital, Owode Egba for quick medical attention.

In the mean time, the magistrate of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu has coordinated that the suspect be taken to the Anti Human Trafficking and Child Labor unit of the State Investigation and Intelligence Department for further examination and conceivable arraignment of the suspect.

The CP additionally cautioned individuals from the general public to stop applying justice on anyone who committed a crime, as all suspects are believed to be innocent until a court of law proves otherwise.
