"It was my birthday. I had told my friends the past Monday that Wednesday, March 29 was my birthday. Along these lines, when I went to get water at the night market that night, the people who went to my home to cheer with me tailed me," she described to The Country.

"I was carrying a bucket on my head yet out and about, they put it down and began pouring the water on me to celebrate my birthday. Some were pouring grimy water on me and others sand. That was the manner by which Moshood kept running into a shop and drew out a compartment. There was something inside and I let him know not to pour it on me since we don't realize what was in it. He opened it, noticed it and said it possessed an aroma similar to chemical. We let him know again that he shouldn't pour that on me however he didn't tune in. As I walked past him, he poured the substance on my body from behind. I shouted and kept running towards the tap yet he arrived before me and opened it with the goal that water would pour on my body.

"While I was under the tap, the lady who owns the place pursued us away that I was wasting her water, however she owed me N70. That was the exact thing I recollected. I was later informed that I blacked out and was raced to Edmark medical facility. I was released at night of the next day in light of the fact that my daddy demanded he needed to take me to General medical facility. In this way, I was moved to Lagos State university teaching hospital (LASUTH) where they have been giving me treatment.

"Moshood was captured by policemen from Makinde however he was later discharged. He has not come to see me from that point forward but rather his folks have been coming. We didn't battle. We have never fought. He's my friend. I don't realize what happened. Although, one Ganiyu asserted that he disclosed to him he would hurt me, I don't know whether that is valid.

"They said they have asked him where he got corrosive from yet he demanded he thought it was Izal that was inside. He said he was searching for a container to help him carry more water and pour on me. Yet, the shop owner has denied keeping any corrosive in her shop. The lady was crying and swearing that she didn't store anything like that since she has little youngsters, who could have effortlessly gotten to it."

Victoria's mom, Mrs. Chidinma Emmanuel, thought about whether her girl's skin will ever mend and said she is not keen on pressing charges but rather needs the group of the kid to help fiscally as her little girl's treatment has taken a toll on her family so much and has affected her petty trade.

"His folks have been coming. They have broadened solidarity however I think it shouldn't simply be by expressions of mouth. You can see that we are a battling family. This appalling episode has taken a toll us to such an extent. There's a medication we have been purchasing N1,200 per sachet to apply on her body.

"I expect that Moshood's family would bolster us fiscally or pick the bills, since every one of the kids there said he was advised to not pour the substance on my girl but rather he proceeded to do it. Up until this point, we haven't heard anything from them. Yes, they paid the N16,000 we were charged at Edmark the night the occurrence happened. From that point forward, they haven't done anything once more. In the event that they are desiring settlement, the main settlement is for them to pay all costs brought about."

Menwhile, Moshood's mom, Mrs. Ganiyat Yusuf, has communicated her sensitivity for the family and depicted the occurrence as an oversight.

She said to The Nation: "It was only a mistake. Actually, Moshood likewise got injured by the corrosive on his trunk and leg. He didn't know the substance of the container and since they were jubilating, he poured it on her without knowing. It's an unfortunate mix-up. In any case, what we need is for peace to rule. We don't need a circumstance where both families would begin battling once again it or the two youngsters getting to be foes."
