Chelsea given the green light to build a new stadium

Chelsea football club has been given the green light by the Hammersmith and Fulham local council to go ahead with their plan of enlarging the seating capacity of stamford bridge from a meagre 41,600 seating capacity to a whooping 60,000 capacity.



Since the club summited their application for a new stadium at the Stamford bridge with an expanded seating capacity 12 months ago, consultations, and negotiations have been going on.

But it seems that the time of waiting is over as the Hammersmith and Fulham local council has finally approved their application, the club made this known on their official website.
